Porthcurno shops and St Levan post office
Porthcurno has a shop and post office, and in season beach goods are also available at the Porthcurno beach cafe, and souvenirs at the museum shop and the Minack theatre. The nearest alternative full-time shops and post offices are at Sennen and St Buryan, each 3 miles/5km distant, and in summer there is also a shop in Treen village. Local vegetables, flowers, and strawberries are sold on several local stalls, and there is even a vineyard in the Penberth valley.
Porthcurno Stores www.porthcurnostores.co.uk telephone 01736 810 227 re-opened under new management from June 2010.
Porthcurno stores will be closed for the winter after 15 October 2011, to re-open in March 2012.
This is a bright and charming shop, newsagent, post office and off-licence selling beach goods, souvenirs, stationery, postcards, maps, guides, books, food, drinks, coffee, snacks and ice lollies, as well as deli goods and tasty Minack theatre hampers. Specialist and gluten-free diet items can be ordered as well. Visit their website to see their wide range of goods and local products.
The shop is convenient for the local Treen campsite, the local bus stops outside, and for shopping short-stay free parking is available opposite the shop. See map.
In 2011 normal summer hours are:
9:00 to 17:00 Monday to Saturday
9:00 to 12:00 Sundays
